Who we are:

Dr Fiona O'Doherty

Clinical Psychologist, Reg. Clin. Psychol, (PSI), AFBPsS, PhD heads a team  of experienced psychologists who scrutinise and advise on all content on this site.

She has extensive experience in studying, assessing and treating a variety of psychological problems, particularly those related to motivation, stress, depression, anxiety, addiction, pain and other related disorders. Her doctorate studied the impact of stressful life events on behaviour and addiction. She has worked within a number of different health systems, in business, in industry and - laterally - in two different private practices.
Her  approach is solution-focussed rather than psychoanalytical. Working with high achieving people from multiple cultures has shown that re-labelling stress as just one aspect of positive drive, seeking solutions rather than explanations, helps them focus more on their own productivity and reduce negative emotions.
